Original description:. Nothing special really, just modified an existing sound a little bit to make it echoy and 'wet', with some panning. This was my first attempt at sound engineering a sample.

This recording was taken in the highland park, a chicago suburb. In this recording, the person recording took notice that there were many different pitches in the sound of the air in the open space. Listeners will also hear a rushing car and birds chirping. Furthermore, listeners will hear similar drops of water hitting a puddle off a gutter.

Recorded from a third-floor room. Stood in the room about 3 feet (1 meter) from an open window. Outside there is rain and light city traffic. Recorded with zoom h5 with its built-in stereo xy mics.

For this recording, i was sitting in my car under a large tree. With a rain storm having just passed, the tree was dripping large droplets, creating a consistent rhythm as they hit the roof of the car. This was recorded using a tascam dr-05x in june, 2020.

Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).
